I had several concerns with my most recent appointment: 1. Inaccurate expectations about appointment I called and said I’ve seen Dr. Eyler before and that my dog was experiencing GI issues again. Donna’s response was that the clinic had an opening at 3pm. Since I mentioned Dr. Eyler’s name, I thought Donna was setting me up with Dr. Eyler, but Donna did not specify a vet’s name when making the appointment. When I was actually at the clinic waiting for the appointment, I learned I wasn’t seeing Dr. Eyler, and I felt disappointed. I feel as though unclear communication led to inaccurate expectations about my appointment. 2. Lack of active listening by vet During my appointment, I felt as though Dr. Dyer was not engaged in the active listening process with me. She was late into the exam room and seemed rushed. She interrupted me a few times in the middle of my questions. She also did not ask me if she had answered all my questions or if I had additional questions. I left the clinic with unclear answers to questions I did ask as well as questions I never got a chance to ask. 3. Conversation based on lack of research Dr. Dyer discussed with me at length my dog’s freeze-dried powder food (the Honest Kitchen) and the potential for food poisoning. During our discussion about the Honest Kitchen, she explained in-depth why chicken meal is a more nutritious ingredient in dog foods versus deboned chicken. I checked when I got home, and the Honest Kitchen does indeed have chicken meal. I believe that conversation could have gone more smoothly — or perhaps gone in an entirely different direction — had Dr. Dyer checked the food’s ingredients first. I actually felt like I was being scolded. Unfortunately, these aspects of my recent experience make me question if I want to continue as a client at your clinic. I really love Dr. Eyler though.

Always treated well here. Probably. Little more work for receptionist , it would be helpful if they would ask if you would like to schedule a next appointment for the next dog grooming visit when you pick up your dog from being groomed. No biggie I just always forget to make it.

We feel very good bringing our babies here. We know that they are in good hands. Dr. Dyer is a compassionate veterinarian in every way. We would not go anywhere else.

I have two best friends. When I drive up for an appointment, they are excited to be there. The suggestions for my girls are the best and keep my girls in tip top shape. A while back, my lady who saved my life when my wife passed away developed bladder cancer. This was one of the hardest days of my life. I chose not to allow Molly to suffer in pain. The Vet, made sure Molly was not in pain. She came over to the house, dressed in regular cloths and peacefully helped Molly go to that place to wait for the rest of my ladies. I still tear up at the thought of the Vet and Vet tech showed me and my Molly. Now, they take care of Rubi Rose the latest addition to our pack. I can not fathom taking ony of my best friends anywhere else.

Dr Eyler is the best. She was able to look at Patches, even though he was difficult. Lakewood staff is great.

Love Ami as our groomer. Beautiful personality and always so accommodating. Best we have ever had - love her.

I was a little bit shocked to pay $25 to get 4 nails clipped. Had no idea that I was not allowed to assist, but had to pay extra for another tech to help. They should have told me how much more it was costing for the service. I would have insisted they trim all 16 nails for that cost.

Everything was great!! The tech saw that Meg was struggling on the floors so she got extra mats to put down so Meg had things to grip on. We were grateful for that extra caring!!

Everyone here is amazing. They care for your pet and take good care of your pets. Thank you all so much for taking good care of our animals. They mean so much to us.

I was on hold for almost 12 full minutes waiting for a tech to check us in upon arrival. After asking to hold three times, the fourth, I finally asked the standard wait time and someone checked us in almost immediately. This is not a complaint, just informational. I love the vets at this clinic; Dr Dyer is amazing and I always recommend Lakewood whenever possible. Thanks for all you do!

I love love love this office staff, and Dr. Eyler. It’s so refreshing for a provider to take time to listen and address every single concern I voice, regardless of how minute it may seem to them.
